AI Research and Development Volunteer Internship

BRITE Institute is seeking AI developers and researchers interested in utilizing artificial intelligence to improve safety in high-risk systems such as healthcare. We welcome machine learning researchers, AI engineers, data scientists, and technically oriented clinicians who want to apply their expertise to real-world safety challenges.

Our work explores how AI influences human decision-making, how to design safer AI systems, and how emerging technologies can reduce error in complex environments. Volunteers may contribute to experimental design, model development, literature reviews, data analysis, or collaborative research papers.

This is a flexible opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary research community focused on ensuring AI improves safety, reliability, and human performance in critical systems. Work is 100% remote and can be done from any location.
