    Description

    Research Support - For Democracy

Volunteer Opportunity: Help Code for Rapport Shifts part of The United Vision Project:

a project that for five years has been coupling progressively minded people with those who are under the influence of extremist ideology for five years in a national program stretching 12 states across the country. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate that rapport can be built across extreme differences to inform the prodemocracy movement and the effectiveness of reaching people across them to find pathways toward unity for our collective best interests.

    Hi all,

We’re looking for 1–2 thoughtful and detail-oriented volunteers to help us keep up the momentum on the Rapport Project. This is a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our collective work, especially if you enjoy qualitative research or are curious about how patterns in conversation emerge.

    What’s Involved:

You’ll be using Atlas.ti to highlight and code text from conversations. The task involves:

    • Matching existing data categories to relevant excerpts in the transcripts
    • Identifying and tagging new, emerging themes that aren’t yet represented
    • Working closely with Ryan, who will guide you through the categories and be available to support your progress

No advanced coding experience is needed—just a thoughtful eye, some time, and curiosity about the work!

If you're interested (or know someone who might be a great fit), feel free to reach out to share this opportunity and please reach out to us!

Thanks so much for considering this and for all you do!
