    Business Development Volunteer (Remote)

Business Development Volunteer (Remote) — Workforce Academy

Organization: Face Friends Foundation, Incorporated Location: Remote (Sugar Hill, Georgia based) Commitment: 2 to 5 hours per week, flexible and ongoing Compensation: Unpaid Volunteer

    About Face Friends Foundation

Face Friends Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Sugar Hill, Georgia dedicated to reducing food insecurity, educational disparities, and unequal access to healthcare for youth, unemployed adults, and small business owners in the Gwinnett County corridor.

We are building the Sugar Hill Workforce Academy — a 1,200 square foot facility on Buford Highway in Gwinnett County featuring a commercial culinary incubator kitchen, a technical literacy lab, and a digital academy. We are not a temporary program. We are building permanent, community-owned infrastructure that serves Gwinnett County families for generations.

We are growing. We are building. And we are looking for people who want to be part of what comes next.

    Role Description

The Business Development Volunteer is a remote role responsible for identifying, cultivating, and closing corporate sponsorships and partnerships that directly fund the Sugar Hill Workforce Academy. This role builds and manages a personal prospect pipeline, conducts personalized outreach to corporate decision makers, delivers partnership proposals, and maintains clean pipeline documentation in our CRM system. The Business Development Volunteer works in close coordination with the Sales & Marketing Director and contributes to the foundation's two-month capital development sprint toward the Academy's March 1, 2027 opening.

    What You Will Do

    • Pipeline Development: Identify and research high-potential B2B prospects, corporate sponsors, and regional small business owners aligned to the foundation's mission
    • Corporate Outreach: Conduct personalized outreach to CSR directors, community development officers, and workforce development leads introducing the foundation's partnership opportunities
    • Proposal Delivery: Present the foundation's corporate partnership bundles, workforce certification seats, and Funders Club community memberships
    • CRM Management: Maintain clean, current prospect tracking in Bitrix24 within 24 hours of each interaction
    • Collaborative Strategy: Connect with the Sales & Marketing Director to align on outreach goals and share pipeline progress

    What You Bring

    • Experience or strong interest in business development, sales, account management, or nonprofit major gifts
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills — your outreach represents the foundation publicly
    • Comfort using or learning digital platforms and CRM software
    • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule within a remote, asynchronous team
    • A genuine commitment to economic equity, workforce training, and community impact in underserved communities

    What You Gain

    • Named Role: Join the foundation's leadership layer as a Business Development Volunteer with specific outcomes attached to your name
    • LinkedIn Verification: Official tenure and title verification on the foundation's corporate LinkedIn page
    • Resume-Building Outcomes: Real-world metrics showing your direct contribution to funding a permanent community center
    • Professional Network: Collaborate alongside dedicated professionals across sales, fundraising, grants, communications, and technology
    • Educational Access: Priority consideration for the Sugar Hill Virtual Academy January 2027 inaugural cohort as a core team member
