    About LoopRoots Foundation

    LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit focused on strengthening families, reducing isolation, and supporting individuals navigating complex social systems. Many of the individuals and families we serve identify as LGBTQ+, and we are committed to ensuring our programs are inclusive, affirming, and responsive to their needs.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a Volunteer LGBTQ+ Community Navigator to support LGBTQ+ individuals and families connected to our programs. This role focuses on guidance, advocacy, and connection to affirming resources, while also helping the organization remain grounded in the needs of the community we serve.

    This is a meaningful opportunity for someone with a social work, advocacy, or community organizing background who wants to make a direct impact through nonprofit work.

    Key Responsibilities

    Serve as a welcoming and affirming point of contact for LGBTQ+ participants

    Help individuals and families navigate social services, community resources, and support systems

    Provide culturally competent guidance and advocacy

    Assist with developing resource lists, referral pathways, and outreach materials

    Offer feedback to staff on program inclusivity and community needs

    Support community engagement efforts aligned with the foundation’s mission

    Qualifications

    Strong commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and families

    Familiarity with community resources, social services, or nonprofit environments

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and discretion

    Background in social work, counseling, advocacy, or lived experience is a plus
