    Description

    Child Companion Volunteer-Chantilly Sully

    HealthWorks for Northern Virginia is seeking trained volunteers to provide short-term child supervision during parent medical appointments. This role supports access to care by reducing childcare barriers for families.

    Responsibilities include:

      • Supervising children in a designated waiting area
      • Engaging children in quiet activities (books, coloring, etc.)
      • Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment

    Requirements:

      • 18+ years of age
      • Background check
      • Completion of volunteer training
      • Ability to commit to a set weekly or monthly schedule

    This is a non-clinical role focused on community support and patient access.
