Wix Website Designer & Manager (Volunteer)
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and motivated Wix Website Designer & Manager to help shape, build, and maintain Pathos Wildlife’s online presence. This role is ideal for someone passionate about web design, storytelling, and conservation, who also enjoys managing and improving live websites over time—not just designing them once.
As our Wix Website Designer & Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our website is visually compelling, easy to navigate, and continuously updated as our organization grows. You will help translate our conservation mission into a powerful digital experience that engages visitors, communicates impact, and inspires action worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain website pages using Wix (Editor and/or Wix Studio)
- Develop visually engaging, intuitive, and mobile-responsive layouts aligned with Pathos Wildlife’s brand identity
- Manage ongoing website updates, including new content, campaigns, blog posts, and announcements
- Improve overall site structure, navigation, and user experience across desktop and mobile platforms
- Create and implement landing pages for campaigns, fundraising efforts, and conservation initiatives
- Ensure consistent branding across typography, imagery, layout, and visual storytelling
- Optimize website performance, accessibility, and basic SEO best practices within Wix tools
- Integrate and manage website features such as donation platforms, newsletters, forms, and volunteer applications
- Collaborate with team members to translate organizational goals into effective web experiences
- Proactively suggest and implement design and functionality improvements to enhance engagement and supporter conversion
Preferred Skills (But Not Required)
- Experience building and managing websites using Wix Editor and/or Wix Studio
- Strong understanding of web design principles, UX/UI, and digital storytelling
- Familiarity with Wix apps, integrations, and platform capabilities
- Experience with tools such as Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile optimization
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance optimization within Wix
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
- Ability to work independently and manage ongoing website updates
- Interest in wildlife conservation, nonprofit work, or mission-driven organizations
