✨ Role Summary
The Fundraising, Donations & Grants Coordinator is a critical leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all fundraising initiatives for Perfectly Paired Pitties Rescue. This role involves working closely with the Board of Directors to establish financial goals, organizing a calendar of annual fundraising activities, managing grant applications, and leading a small team of dedicated fundraising volunteers to ensure the rescue meets its budget targets and can continue its life-saving work.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Goal Setting
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to review the annual budget and determine necessary fundraising goals to cover operational expenses (vet care, food, supplies, etc.).
- Develop a comprehensive, year-round fundraising plan and calendar encompassing various activities (online campaigns, events, corporate partnerships, etc.).
- Regularly track and report on fundraising progress to the Board.
- Fundraising & Event Coordination
- Organize and execute 3-5 major and minor fundraising events/campaigns throughout the year (e.g., Giving Tuesday, annual gala/auction, online adoption events, third-party fundraisers).
- Identify and secure corporate sponsorships and community partnerships.
- Oversee the maintenance of donor records and ensure timely, personalized thank-you notes/receipts are distributed.
- Grants & Donations Management
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies relevant to animal welfare.
- Write, submit, and manage grant applications, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
- Manage general donation streams (online platforms, mail-in, in-kind) and look for ways to expand the donor base.
- Volunteer Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise a team of 2-3 fundraising volunteers, delegating tasks and providing guidance on event logistics, donor outreach, and campaign support.
- Lead regular check-in meetings with the fundraising team to ensure coordination and address challenges.
- Help recruit and onboard new volunteers into the fundraising team as needed.

- Experience: Proven experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, event planning, or non-profit management is highly preferred.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a small team of volunteers.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially for persuasive grant writing and donor relations.
- Organization: Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Passion: A strong passion for animal welfare and the mission of Perfectly Paired Pitties Rescue.
- Technology: Proficiency with basic computer programs and familiarity with fundraising/CRM software (or the willingness to learn).
