The Global Paint for Charity, Inc. (AKA "GPC" or "Global Paint") is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, working together with commercial businesses, residential households, and other not-for-profit organizations to recycle Latex paint to change lives and protect the environment. We started our programs in March 2010, hoping to collect 500 gallons of paint to renovate schools and orphanages in the Caribbean and Africa within the year. The paint we collected in a single day was unbelievable. The spectacular response from our supporters, partners, volunteers, and the media encouraged us to continue collecting paint and raising funds to distribute it to as many impoverished villages and isolated rural communities worldwide as possible.

To date, we have recovered and redistributed more than 5 million gallons of paint—equivalent to diverting approximately 370,000 tons of paint waste from landfills. This paint has been used to renovate and rejuvenate family homes, homeless shelters, schools, churches, orphanages, hospitals, and community centers in major U.S. cities and underserved regions across 44 countries worldwide.

Global Paint for Charity, Inc. remains a one-of-a-kind organization, adding color, dignity, and encouragement to people's lives worldwide. Our dedicated volunteers have helped paint over 120,500 family homes, including 8200 schools, 535 orphanages, 1240 churches, and homeless shelters. The organization has also helped create numerous jobs in the U.S., from truck drivers to warehouse and logistics personnel, supporting our local economy and operational needs.

Through our Juvenile Community Service and Restitution Program, local juvenile court judges and high schools across several states have sent young people and adults to volunteer at our donation centers and warehouse facilities. Under the supervision of our staff, these participants gain valuable skills and purpose while contributing to their communities. So far, local high school students and juvenile offenders have completed over 25,000 hours of community service through this initiative.

Our paint recycling and reuse model is unique because it focuses on university student engagement and workforce development. Much of our success is attributed to the tireless efforts of interns from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University, Emory University, the University of Georgia, and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), among others. These students gain meaningful hands-on experience in sustainability, logistics, and social entrepreneurship while helping GPC maintain low operational costs and expand its global impact.

In the past several years, Global Paint for Charity has received numerous awards and national recognitions, including but not limited to:

    • Best of Atlanta Award for Waste Recycling & Disposal Services & Equipment
    • Best of Gwinnett Award
    • Best Startup for Social Good
