    Support Youth Artists: Volunteer at the Teen Poetry Slam Preliminary Slam ! (Berkeley, CA)

    Teen Poetry Slam Preliminary Slam #1 - Volunteers - 01/30/2026

    Join us in celebration of Youth Speaks’ iconic Teen Poetry Slam opening festival Slam!

    Youth Speaks is looking for volunteers to support Front of House (FOH). FOH volunteers will support:

    • Setting up Front of House
    • Checking In Attendees
    • Setting up food & Snacks
    • Potential Production Assistance
    • And other logistics in various forms

    Volunteer shifts take place prior to the event, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The official Slam runs from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

    About Youth Speaks Teen Poetry Slam Festival:

    For over 25 years, the Youth Speaks Teen Poetry Slam has propelled spoken word around the globe. Youth from all over the Bay Area compete to advance in the competition, become a finalist, and rep the Bay Area at Brave New Voices, a 4-day youth poetry festival and National Slam.

    The Teen Poetry Slam and Brave New Voices are traditions celebrating some of the most astounding young writers and performers around the world, and are open to anyone 19 and under.
