Friday Clothing Giveaway Support!

The I Did Something Good Today Foundation works closely with the Long Beach Multi-Service Center and is seeking reliable volunteers to support our weekly Friday Clothing Giveaway, serving individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

Each Friday, we provide access to clothing and shoes to help meet basic needs and restore dignity. Volunteers play a vital role in making this event run smoothly from start to finish.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Arrive by 8:30 AM to assist with setup
• Organize and arrange clothing and shoes for distribution
• Assist clients respectfully during the giveaway
• Monitor tables and help maintain order and flow
• Break down and return items to storage promptly at 11:00 AM

This is a hands-on opportunity that involves direct client interaction in a fast-paced service environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing/sitting for extended periods
• Bending and reaching
• Light to moderate lifting of clothing bins and racks
• Working both indoors and outdoors

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Completion of a volunteer waiver
• Comfortable engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness in a respectful and supportive manner
