Duties

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to organizational initiatives and programs
• Attend regular board meetings and participate actively in discussions and decision-making processes
• Assist in developing and reviewing organizational policies and procedures
• Support fundraising efforts through networking, outreach, and leveraging personal connections
• Monitor organizational performance against goals and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Contribute expertise in areas such as databases management, marketing strategies, customer service, research initiatives, or fundraising platforms .
• Advocate for the organization within the community and foster relationships with stakeholders, partners, and donors
• Participate in committees or special projects as needed to advance organizational objectives

Requirements

• Proven experience or background in areas relevant to organizational governance such as databases management, marketing, customer service, or research.
• Familiarity with not for profit organizations.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit or organizational operations and governance practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
• Ability to dedicate time for meetings, strategic planning sessions, and organizational events, typically on a volunteer basis but with meaningful engagement expected
• Prior experience serving on boards or committees is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for community service is essential.
