    Environmental Awareness & Recycling Plastic Bags Event

    ABOUT EVENT

    Recycling Drive 2.0 — Bigger, Better, Greener!

    Join us as we continue a community initiative to collect and recycle plastic bags materials that cannot go into curbside recycling. Our goal is to reduce plastic waste and promote eco-friendly alternatives by properly collecting these items for recycling.

    This drive will help turn everyday waste (like grocery bags, bread bags, and plastic wrap) into sustainable products such as outdoor decking and benches, through specialized recycling processes.

    Bring Your Bags!

    Please bring any plastic bags you've collected so far. They'll be added to the 120 lbs recycled last September.

    What to expect:

    • Learn why plastic bags and flexible packaging need special recycling
    • Understand how these bags will be recycled into TREX decking material
    • Pick up and decorate collection boxes (provided by CleanupGiveBack)

    Plastic bags and wraps often end up in landfills or as litter. With your help, we'll reduce waste and encourage responsible recycling habits. Let's take this first step together-collect, educate, and make an impact!
