    Description

    Mission:

    To build and sustain a supportive, engaging, and mission-aligned volunteer community where people feel recognized, heard, and empowered.

    Responsibilities:

    • Welcome new volunteers with structured onboarding (shared documents, group intro, first assignments).
    • Maintain a volunteer database (role, availability, contact, notes).
    • Check in with team members monthly to track morale, engagement, and capacity.
    • Identify team members needing encouragement or re-engagement.
    • Host a quarterly online social (virtual reflection or highlight circle).
    • Work closely with leadership to:
      • Track volunteer burnout
      • Recommend delegation and restructuring
      • Prepare shoutouts and team awards
    • Draft brief volunteer highlight stories for social media once/month

    Skills & Tools:

    • Excellent communication, empathy, and organization
    • Familiarity with MS planner
    • Ability to manage people with kindness and firmness
    • Strong listening and interpersonal awareness
    • Background in HR, coaching, or volunteering is a plus

    Time Commitment:

    • Minimum: 2–3 hours/week
    • 6-month initial commitment required (renewable)
    • Weekly sync with team lead or Content Coordinator
