This Summit brings together patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, and partners from across the country to focus on progress, access, and real-world impact in sickle cell disease. Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the experience is welcoming, organized, and supportive for everyone involved-especially families and patients. Volunteer Roles Include: Registration and attendee check-in. Auditorium and program flow support. Children’s learning and playroom support. Resource and wellness room assistance. Vendor and sponsor area support. Media, streaming, or general event support. Volunteers are assigned specific roles and shifts (morning, midday, or full day) to ensure clarity and prevent burnout. We are especially mindful of matching volunteers to roles that fit their interests, experience, and comfort level.
Why Volunteer? Support families and individuals impacted by sickle cell disease. Be part of a national conversation on therapies and access. Contribute to a well-organized, mission-driven event. Serve alongside a community grounded in care, respect, and purpose.
