About Us

Foster Army Animal Rescue is a Riverside-based nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to saving the most vulnerable shelter pets — including sick, injured, underage, senior, and special-needs animals.

Our nonprofit thrift store provides critical funding for lifesaving medical care, rehabilitation, and supplies, making it possible for us to help animals who need us most.

Volunteer Opportunity: Thrift Store Team Member

We’re looking for compassionate, reliable volunteers who want to make a positive impact in the Riverside community. No experience is needed — we provide full training and match you with tasks that fit your interests and comfort level.

Volunteer Tasks May Include:

• Sorting and pricing donations (donation processing, retail experience)
• Greeting and assisting customers (customer service, community engagement)
• Organizing and refreshing displays (merchandising, store presentation)
• Helping with online listings (e-commerce support)
• Seasonal decorating (event prep, creative displays)
• Supporting special events (nonprofit events, community outreach)
• Light-duty & seated options available (senior-friendly volunteer roles)

Schedule & Commitment

• Flexible volunteer shifts
• Open Tuesday–Sunday, 10 AM–5 PM (closed Mondays)
• Volunteer as little or as long as you like
• Perfect for students, retirees, seniors, job seekers, community-service hours, and anyone with a heart for animals
