    Description

    Volunteer Workshop Facilitators – Summer Intern Training (Detroit)

    We are seeking volunteer workshop facilitators and trainers to support our Summer Intern Orientation and Training Week for youth ages 14–24 who will be serving as camp counselors during our summer program in Detroit.

    Training Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, June 29– July 3, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

    Volunteers will help lead interactive workshops and training sessions focused on youth development, leadership, teamwork, professional skills, safety, and creating engaging environments for younger campers.

    Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

    • Leading or co-facilitating training workshops (12–4 PM sessions)
    • Supporting youth leadership and engagement activities
    • Sharing professional experience and practical skills
    • Assisting with group discussions and team-building exercises

    Ideal Volunteers Have Experience In:

    • Youth development, mentoring, education, or coaching
    • Leadership training or workforce development
    • Social work, nonprofit work, or related fields
    • Working with teens and young adults (ages 14–24)

    This opportunity allows volunteers to mentor emerging youth leaders, share expertise, and support a structured youth development program with real community impact.

    Session topics, schedules, and materials will be shared with selected volunteers prior to the start of training week.
