    Description

    Facilities Volunteer Assistant

    If you are interested in volunteering in a friendly, welcoming environment and you enjoy being around dogs, Guiding Eyes for the Blind is looking for volunteers who can assist our maintenance teams. The volunteer positions are available at following locations:

    Guiding Eyes for the Blind: 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Hts., NY, and

    Guiding Eyes for the Blind: 361 Route 164 Patterson, NY

    We are looking for people to help with the following:

    • painting
    • cleaning vents
    • general maintenance of the building
    • assist our maintenance staff

    Guiding Eyes for the Blind staff often have our dogs in our offices and you will meet our dogs/puppies as you move throughout the building. We have a happy and enjoyable environment.

    We will supply safety gloves and glasses.

    If you have steel toed shoes that would be a plus.
