    Senior Celebration Event Volunteers – Lunar New Year & Valentine’s Party (Feb. 25th)

    About the Opportunity: Many seniors at Rotary Floritas don’t have frequent visitors. By joining this celebration, you help build community and brighten someone’s day — even for a few hours.

    What You’ll Do: We are having a Lunar New Year/Valentine's Party for Seniors at Rotary Floritas. HIP Housing is hosting this party in partnership with Mobile Recreation of San Mateo. Here's a timeline of what the activity includes and volunteers are welcome to join in anytime after 1pm:

    • 1-2pm: volunteers can start coming to finish setup
    • 2-3pm: Volunteer can join in or help with Qi Gong activity with San Mateo Mobile Recreation
    • 3-4:30pm: party, serve food & drinks, hang out with the senior residents
    • 4:30-5:30pm: cleanup

    Who We’re Looking For: Great for teens, community groups, and anyone who loves spending time with older adults.

    Our Mission: HIP Housing builds community and connection for older adults in San Mateo, supporting independence and reducing isolation through social events and support services.

    Street parking is available across the street from our front door or on nearby residential streets (please take note of any "no parking" signs where you park). Unloading in the front is only for unloading.
