    Job Title: Program Director (Volunteer)

    Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Department: Programs & Operations

    Location: Remote (U.S.) (may involve occasional in-person meetings)

    Position Type: Volunteer Leadership Position

    Time Commitment: 8–12 hours per week (Flexible)

    Pretty With Purpose, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering young women ages 12–19 through mentorship, leadership development, workforce readiness, college and career preparation, STEM education, financial literacy, health and wellness, and community engagement. Our mission is to equip young women with the confidence, knowledge, and opportunities needed to become future leaders in their communities and beyond.

    Position Summary

    The Program Director serves as the strategic leader responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Pretty With Purpose's programs and initiatives. This individual will oversee program development, ensure high-quality participant experiences, manage program volunteers, and collaborate with organizational leadership to align programming with the organization's mission and strategic goals.

    The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong organizational, project management, and people leadership skills who is passionate about youth development and nonprofit impact.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Program Leadership

    • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all organizational programs.
    • Ensure programs align with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
    • Develop annual program goals, objectives, and success metrics.
    • Create and maintain program calendars and implementation timelines.
    • Monitor program quality and participant outcomes.

    Program Development

    • Develop new educational and leadership initiatives based on community needs.
    • Evaluate existing programs and recommend improvements.
    • Create standardized program procedures and best practices.
    • Assist in developing curriculum, workshops, and participant resources.
    • Ensure consistency across all organizational programming.

    Volunteer & Team Leadership

    • Supervise Program Coordinators and program volunteers.
    • Support volunteer onboarding, training, and performance.
    • Foster collaboration among program staff and volunteers.
    • Conduct regular program meetings and progress updates.
    • Provide coaching and mentorship to program leaders.

    Participant Experience

    • Ensure participants receive engaging, safe, and high-quality programming.
    • Monitor participant attendance, engagement, and progress.
    • Address participant concerns in collaboration with leadership.
    • Support participant recruitment and retention efforts.

    Partnerships & Collaboration

    • Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and corporate partners.
    • Support educational partnerships that enhance program offerings.
    • Work closely with Sponsorships & Partnerships to coordinate community events.
    • Represent Pretty With Purpose at community meetings and outreach events as needed.

    Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure programs comply with organizational policies and procedures.
    • Track program outcomes and maintain accurate records.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly program reports.
    • Assist with collecting impact data for grant reporting and organizational fundraising.
    • Maintain participant confidentiality and organizational standards.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience managing programs, projects, teams, or community initiatives.
    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Passion for youth leadership, education, and community impact.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

    Preferred

    • Experience working with nonprofit organizations.
    • Experience with youth development or mentoring programs.
    • Experience supervising volunteers or staff.
    • Knowledge of program evaluation and outcome measurement.
    • Grant-funded program management experience.
    • Event planning or community engagement experience.

    Commitment
