Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven leader to serve as Chair of Outreach & Coordination on our Board of Directors. This individual will serve as a key ambassador for the organization, driving community engagement, cultivating strategic partnerships, and ensuring alignment across our external-facing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all outreach strategy, community engagement, and external communications at the board level
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with partner organizations, donors, community stakeholders, and key collaborators
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts between board committees and organizational leadership
- Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and community forums
- Champion equity and inclusion in all outreach efforts and external-facing programs
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and fellow board members to advance the organization's strategic plan
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in community outreach, communications, nonprofit development, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain meaningful partnerships
- Strong public speaking and relationship management skills
- Passion for [insert mission area] and commitment to the organization's core values
- Prior board or volunteer leadership experience preferred
Term & Commitment
- 2-year term (renewable)
- Estimated 8–12 hours per month including board meetings, committee work, and events
