    Description

We hope to grow our magazine to reach more people and streamline our advocacy. That's why we need YOUR help. To assist us in our mission, below is a list of roles and corresponding descriptions for aspiring changemakers like you to apply for:

Marketing Manager (2): You will primarily be responsible for increasing engagement on our platforms (i.e., website, Instagram, Spotify). This can be through physical flyers, partnering with the event organizer to organize events that promote our magazine, and increasing social media presence. This role may warrant access to our Instagram to post updates on the magazine's activities. You will likely need skills like graphic design (Instagram posts), strong business aptitude (marketing strategies), and networking abilities.

Event Coordinator (2): You will be responsible for generating event ideas and scouting the internet for opportunities that the magazine can participate in. You will also be obligated to sort out the logistics of whatever events that we decide to participate in and communicate that to the team. This will require a high degree of organization and communication skills.

Reporter (as many as we can get!): You will primarily be responsible for writing articles. This includes coming up with ideas for article topics that are relevant to our mission and acquiring photos that can complement the article. This is a great way to establish your own online presence if anyone were to search your name on Google! This will require you to be proficient in writing and have a passion for writing.

    • NOTE: It's OK if you don't have prior skills in journalism writing; we will hold a session that will teach all the basics.

After we receive your application, we will send you an email to coordinate a time for us to meet (online/in-person). This is so we can get to know you better!
