Volunteer Facilities Support

Rise Academy is seeking a Volunteer Facilities Support Assistant to help maintain and improve our school environment. This volunteer role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to give back to the community while supporting a mission-driven school serving students in Richmond’s East End. Your contributions will help ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for our students and staff.

Volunteers in this role will assist with basic maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks around campus. Typical assignments may include assembling furniture, spackling and painting walls, making minor equipment repairs, and completing small facility improvement projects. Tasks will vary depending on current campus needs.

This role works fairly independently but will receive guidance and support from the Director of Operations. Volunteers should be comfortable using basic tools, following instructions, and taking initiative to complete assigned tasks safely and effectively.

By serving in this role, you will play an important part in supporting Rise Academy’s mission to cultivate the God-given potential of students in Richmond’s East End through learning opportunities that equip them to flourish.
