    Description

Help neighbors in need and keep outdoor spaces clear in Pearl City & Aiea, HI (no mower needed)

I Want To Mow Your Lawn is a nonprofit that connects volunteers with older adults, veterans and people with disabilities who need help with their yards. Here on Oahu, we also want to help keep shared outdoor spaces clear. Despite our name, it isn't just mowing.

We're looking for volunteers in the Pearl City and Aiea area to help with:

    • Trimming and edging
    • Clearing overgrown yards and brush
    • Clearing overgrowth along roadsides and pathways
    • Cutting up and hauling fallen branches
    • Raking and general yard cleanup
    • Light landscaping

You don't need a mower. Bring a trimmer or hand tools if you have them, but many jobs just need a willing pair of hands. You won't be working alone: a local volunteer is already out clearing overgrown roadsides and pathways, and is looking for people to team up with.

    How helping a neighbor works:

    1. Apply here and we'll reach out to you directly.
    2. Create a free volunteer profile. It takes a few minutes, and we review every registration by hand.
    3. Choose how far you're willing to travel. You'll see neighbors near you who have asked for help, and you pick the jobs and times that work for you.

    Good to know:

    • It's flexible: a few hours when you have them, weekdays or weekends.
    • We track your volunteer hours.
    • Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
    • It's a great fit for individuals, families and groups (church, school, workplace, veterans' groups).

    Mahalo!
