    Description

    Moving Rasa Discovery Troupe

Moving Rasa is forming a small weekly Discovery Cards Troupe to practice and share an embodied card-based process rooted in Indonesian wisdom, movement, relational presence, and community care.

The Discovery Cards are an oracle-inspired movement deck informed by rasa — felt sense, emotion, intuition, and the intelligence of the body. As a troupe, we will practice using movement, images, questions, and shared witnessing to explore what is emerging in our lives and in the world.

We will also host monthly community dinners open to all, where people may bring a question, reflection, stress, grief, transition, or life moment to explore in a caring group setting. Together, we seek to metabolize personal and collective stress, trauma, and uncertainty through movement, food, listening, play, and connection.

This work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with attention to consent, choice, pacing, boundaries, and care. The goal is not to give answers, but to create a space where people can be witnessed, move what they are carrying, and reconnect with community.

All bodies are welcome across ages, abilities, identities, lineages, and backgrounds. Experience in dance, theater, healing arts, facilitation, organizing, or community work is welcome but not required. What matters most is a willingness to listen, experiment, play, and practice together.

Rehearsal commitments are one weekday a week, around 12-2 p.m., and one evening potluck a month. Invites occur on a rolling basis.
