LIKE TO DRIVE AND ENJOY CONVERSATION WITH AN OLDER ADULT? JOIN THE TRANSPORTATION TEAM! TAKE ONE RIDE PER MONTH OR MORE.
The Shepherd’s Center of Webster-Kirkwood is part of a national network of 55 centers. Since 1998, we have helped older adults to find enrichment, maintain independence and stay socially active. Over 300 volunteers help us fulfill our mission. We need you!
HOW WE SERVE OUR CLIENTS:
- Free rides to medical appointments
- Ambulatory (no wheelchairs) older adults aged 55+
- Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays
- Between the hours of 9am and 3 pm
- Service area boundaries apply
- Round-trip, door-through-door service (Volunteers walk riders from the parking lot to their appointments, wait until appointment is finished and drive them home afterwards).
