Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville. Our Mission is: "To develop and maintain plant collections for the purposes of display, education, conservation, research and enjoyment."
Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Garden, and whatever your passion, the Garden can use your interest and talent. There is a wide range of volunteer opportunities available. Volunteer positions range from assisting with educational programs and special events to providing horticultural assistance - all essential to enriching the visitor experience. Wherever you volunteer, you will make a difference. Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people, learn more about gardening, or develop a new skill.
We are excited to announce our inaugural holiday light display: Gainesville Glows: Lanterns and Lights. We especially need volunteers to help with the installation and staffing of this event which we hope will become a treasured holiday tradition in our community!
We request all volunteers complete two 3 hour shifts per month. All GEMs, Greenhouse, & Conservation are requested to commit to 3 hours weekly. Shifts are subject to cancellation or reduction due to inclement weather.
All staff and volunteers must be willing to complete a background check. Garden volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
