    Cat Herder for Volunteer Recognition (Assistant Volunteer Coordinator)

    Raise your paw if you want to make a positive impact on every cat, everywhere. 🐾 The Deputy Cat Herder for Volunteer Recognition (Assistant Volunteer Coordinator) supports the Chief Cat Herder (Volunteer Coordinator) in managing and organizing volunteer activities and relationships. This is a flexible and rewarding remote volunteer opportunity which can fit your lifestyle.

    EveryCat Health Foundation funds innovative feline health studies and essential education that enhances the relationship between cats and humans. We seek a dynamic individual to join our passionate team of changemakers in this volunteer role (2-5 hours per week).

    Key duties include assisting with tracking volunteer hours and maintaining communication with volunteers to ensure they feel engaged and informed. The assistant may also help with training, and volunteer records. The assistant provides support for quarterly volunteer Zoom meetings, including cat trivia games and other fun activities. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, which is important to a positive experience for volunteers and efficient operation of volunteer programs.

    EveryCat Health Foundation volunteers raise awareness about the need for continued feline health studies, provide information and education about cat health that impacts pet owners and veterinary professionals as well as raise funds to support our mission.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Technological skills, including familiarity with Google applications (docs, sheets, slides, etc) or similar Microsoft applications (word, excel, powerpoint).
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Passion for the EveryCat Health Foundation mission and commitment to making a positive impact on every cat, every day, everywhere.
    • Availability to volunteer 5-10 hours per week.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work positively and encouragingly with a remote, diverse, international team.
    • Commitment to regularly confirm volunteer activity with staff and volunteer team leads.
