    Description

    Patient Companion Volunteer for Hospice

Would you be willing to sit with a patient who is bed-bound and suffering from loneliness? Maybe one who is wheelchair bound but so lonely because they are hard of hearing and their hearing aids don't work so good anymore, and maybe they want someone to sit and hold their hand for a while. There are patients out here who do not get family visits and some only get one every three months. Wouldn't it be nice to see a friendly face who has come just for you? Do you have a talent? Would you be willing to teach someone to crochet or just read to them because their eyes don/t work anymore.
