Volunteer with us, and help take care of our Nature Trail, a native plant garden that connects our visitors with native plants and provides valuable wildlife habitat.
Training begins on May 12 and includes:
- Once a week training for four weeks led by native plant and gardening experts
- Training on public engagement on a select Sunday
- Development of your native plant knowledge and garden care skills

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
Hello!
As a member of the NGC, you’ll help keep our garden thriving while connecting with visitors through a shared love of plants.
In partnership with Forever Balboa Park, we’ve designed a four-week training course beginning in mid-May, with sessions available on Tuesdays or Saturdays to fit busy schedules. The program includes expert-led instruction, hands-on experience with native plants, practical garden maintenance skills, and strategies for engaging with the public.
