    Position Overview

    The Volunteer at the Healing Suites of Transformation Nation Inc. supports the organization’s mission to provide trauma-informed, restorative, and therapeutic services to youth, families, and community members. Volunteers assist with program operations, participant support, community outreach events, and the creation of a safe and welcoming healing environment.

    This role is ideal for individuals passionate about community wellness, youth development, behavioral health support, and restorative care.

    Purpose of the Healing Suites

    The Healing Suites serve as safe, structured, and supportive spaces where individuals receive emotional support, therapeutic programming, life skills development, and community-based healing services.

    Volunteers play an important role in maintaining a calm, respectful, and empowering atmosphere.

    Key Responsibilities -

    Volunteers may assist in one or more of the following areas:

    Program Support

    • Assist staff during group sessions and workshops
    • Help prepare materials and activity supplies
    • Support youth engagement activities
    • Provide logistical support for therapeutic programming
    • Assist with check-in and check-out processes

    Administrative Support

    • Help organize program materials
    • File paperwork and prepare packets
    • Support data entry (when appropriate)
    • Assist with setup and breakdown of program spaces

    Community Engagement & Events

    • Support community outreach events
    • Help with event registration and guest welcoming
    • Distribute informational materials
    • Represent Transformation Nation in a professional manner

    Environment & Hospitality

    • Help maintain a welcoming and calming environment
    • Support room setup for sessions
    • Assist with organizing refreshments (if applicable)
    • Ensure spaces remain clean and orderly

    Volunteer Expectations

    • Maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Follow all organizational policies and safety procedures
    • Demonstrate professionalism and reliability
    • Use respectful, trauma-informed communication
    • Complete required orientation and training
    • Submit to background screening (if working with youth)

    Qualifications

    • Must be 18 years or older (or supervised youth volunteer program participant)
    • Passion for community service and healing-centered work
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and participants
    • Experience in youth services, mental health, education, or community outreach (preferred but not required)

    Time Commitment

    • Minimum commitment: 4–8 hours per month (flexible)
