Description
As a Volunteer SEO Coordinator, you’ll help ensure our content is optimized before publishing and track how it performs afterward. You’ll be part of the engine that helps Florida Youth At Risk content get discovered by the right people at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Review blog drafts for SEO basics (keywords, headings, structure, etc.).
- Add or check meta titles, meta descriptions, and image alt text.
- Ensure internal linking is present where relevant.
- Help optimize post slugs (URLs) for searchability.
- Use Google Search Console to check for indexing issues or errors.
- Pull traffic data from Google Analytics and summarize performance reports.
- Assist in keeping an SEO checklist updated for writers and publishers.
- Collaborate with the Content Coordinator and Content Writers to prep posts before they go live.
What We’re Looking For
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles (or strong willingness to learn).
- Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics (or ready to be trained).
- Detail-oriented with solid research and digital skills.
- Comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, and blog platforms like Blogger or WordPress.
- Able to communicate clearly and stick to light weekly deadlines.
- Passion for content, digital growth, and learning new tools.
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with SEO tools like Ubersuggest, Moz, or Ahrefs.
- Familiarity with HTML or blog formatting.
- Excel/Sheets skills for organizing analytics reports.
