    đź•’ Volunteer | Event-based + ongoing opportunities

    https://ecoservantsproject.org/earthday/

EcoServants® is a California-based environmental nonprofit focused on community cleanups, environmental education, restoration and data-driven stewardship. Since 2020, we have supported thousands of volunteers through hands-on action, education and accountability tools that empower individuals to care for their local environment year-round.

Earth Day 2026 marks our largest activation yet, with multiple official locations across the Venice Beach and Playa del Rey area.

    Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking Environmental Educators who would like to volunteer their time at one of our Earth Day 2026 locations and potentially continue supporting educational outreach throughout the year.

Environmental Educators play a key role in helping volunteers and community members understand why the work matters, not just how to do it.

    What You’ll Do

Depending on your background and comfort level, volunteers may:

    • Educate volunteers and the public on local environmental issues
    • Share best practices for cleanups, wetlands restoration and invasive plant awareness
    • Support youth and family-friendly learning activities
    • Help explain EcoServants’ data collection and stewardship approach
    • Answer questions and engage community members at information tables

Educators are stationed at designated EcoServants locations, including beach and lagoon sites as well as our community partner space.

    Ideal Background (not required)

    • Environmental education, ecology, sustainability or related fields
    • Teaching, outreach, science communication or community engagement experience
    • Passion for environmental stewardship and public education
    • Friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking with diverse audiences

Students, early-career professionals and experienced educators are all welcome.

    Time Commitment

    • Primary event: Earth Day 2026 (April 22)
    • Shifts available throughout the day
    • Optional ongoing volunteer opportunities available after Earth Day

    Why Volunteer With EcoServants®

    • Make a tangible impact in your local community
    • Gain nonprofit and environmental education experience
    • Work alongside a mission-driven team and diverse volunteers
    • Receive volunteer verification and impact documentation
    • Join a growing network of environmental stewards
