    Description

Make a Difference: Share Your Unique Skills as a Shores Hospice Volunteer!

At Shores Hospice, we believe that everyone—no matter their background, career, or skill set—has something meaningful to offer. You don't need a medical background or direct patient care experience to make a profound impact in your community!

We are seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team. Whether you prefer direct 1:1 engagement, specialized talents, or non-patient support like office administration, we match your unique strengths and preferences to our program's needs.

    Volunteer Opportunities Include:

    • Office & Administrative Support (Non-Patient Facing): Assisting our office team with organization, filing, record-keeping, phone intake, preparing patient care packets, and special projects. Perfect for those who prefer behind-the-scenes work!
    • Companionship & Direct Care (1:1 Patient Support): Friendly visits, sitting quietly, reading, or sharing simple conversations with patients.
    • Skills-Based & Creative Support: Sharing music, art, crafts, or pet visits.
    • Vet-to-Vet Program: Pairing military veteran volunteers with veteran patients to offer companionship, shared connection, and specialized support.

    Requirements & Benefits:

    • Flexible Hours: Give 2 hours a week or 2 hours a month—we work entirely around your schedule.
    • Full Training Provided: Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing guidance provided for all roles.
    • Location: Office opportunities take place at our local agency location; patient visits occur in patient homes and care facilities throughout the community.

How to Get Started: Ready to share your heart and skills? Contact our Volunteer Coordinator today!
