Windsor County Mentors: Building Community, One Match at a Time
For over 50 years, Windsor County Mentors has fostered healthy, vibrant communities through youth mentoring. Our programs connect caring, screened adult volunteers with youth in Windsor County, VT, and Sullivan County, NH to provide guidance, friendship, and support that can change lives.
We offer two unique mentoring opportunities:
Community-Based Mentoring: Serving ages 6-16 throughout Windsor County, PALS pairs mentors and mentees to spend two hours per week together engaging in mutually chosen activities. Whether hiking local trails, visiting libraries, or exploring new hobbies, these partnerships build lasting connections. Optional monthly group outings offer additional opportunities to socialize and strengthen bonds within the mentoring community.
School-Based Mentoring: Our school program matches mentors with students to meet one-on-one during the school day or after school at participating Windsor County schools. These consistent, supportive relationships promote confidence, socialization, and academic engagement.
How to Get Involved: Mentors must complete an application, background check, and comprehensive training. We welcome reliable, compassionate adults from all backgrounds who want to make a difference in a child's life.
