Video Editor / Content Editor

Location: Remote or Atlanta, GA | Production Team

We’re looking for a creative, fast-moving Video Editor / Content Editor to turn raw footage into polished full-length episodes and high-impact short-form content.

This volunteer role will own the editing process for full episodes and repurpose each production into approximately 8–12+ Shorts, Reels, TikToks, and other social clips designed to increase reach, engagement, and audience growth.

What You’ll Do

• Edit full-length episodes from raw footage through final delivery.
• Create 8–12+ short-form clips per episode for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms.
• Identify the strongest moments, hooks, reactions, quotes, and segments for social content.
• Add transitions, graphics, captions, music, sound effects, and other creative elements.
• Ensure edits maintain strong pacing, storytelling, and visual consistency.
• Format and optimize content for different platforms and aspect ratios.
• Collaborate with producers and creative teams on episode structure and editorial direction.
• Incorporate feedback and complete revisions efficiently.
• Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, and final exports.
• Ensure audio and visual quality meet production standards.
• Help develop reusable editing templates, workflows, and content standards.
• Maintain technical backups of project files and final content.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with video editing, digital content, social media, entertainment, or media production.
• Strong working knowledge of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Experience editing both long-form and short-form video content.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, timing, and audience engagement.
• Ability to identify moments that can become compelling short-form content.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and current content formats.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple edits and deadlines.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with a creative production team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience editing interviews, music content, entertainment programming, podcasts, or digital shows.
• Familiarity with motion graphics, captions, color correction, and basic audio editing.
• Understanding of social media performance and what makes content shareable.
