    Description

    Volunteer Planting at Scappoose Veteran's Park-Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership

    Plant trees and shrubs to enhance native habitat and improve the water quality of South Scappoose Creek in partnership with the Scappoose Bay Watershed Council and the Estuary Partnership.

    Saturday, February 7th, 9:30 AM -12:30 PM

    Pre-registration is required.

    • All ages and abilities are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please let us know if you need accommodations to participate due to language, disability, or other additional needs.
    • Youth age 15 + may volunteer without an adult present.

    Accessibility: The planting site is near the park's parking lot. The project area ranges from flat and in grass to muddy and sloped.

    We'll provide: Planting gloves, tools, snacks and warm beverages.

    What to wear: Long sleeves, pants, sturdy sneakers or boots. Dress for the weather: extra layers are helpful.

    What you should bring: Water bottle, sun/raingear.
