Community Supper Club: A Welcoming, Low-Pressure Way to Get Involved
Details
Description
Looking for a volunteer opportunity that's fun, social, and meaningful — and easy to do solo? Our Community Supper Club is a relaxed, community-driven meal where volunteers learn the ropes of hosting, meet fellow volunteers, and help create a warm shared meal for our residents.
It's a true community effort: Foundation Communities provides the entrée, and volunteers each bring one item — a side, dessert, drinks, or basic supplies. Together, we put together a welcoming, neighborly meal that brings people together.
What Volunteers Do
- Bring one item — a side, dessert, drinks, or supplies
- Learn the flow — setup, hosting, and community engagement
- Meet fellow volunteers — a great way for solo volunteers to connect
- Support a community meal — help create a warm, welcoming space
- Serve & share — serve buffet-style, then sit down and enjoy the meal with residents
Time Commitment
Two hours. Join just this once, or gather a group of friends, family, neighbors, or coworkers to host on a recurring basis.
Who You're Supporting
Our Supper Clubs bring together residents from diverse backgrounds — including neighbors who've experienced homelessness, veterans, and individuals living with disabilities. Your presence helps create a sense of belonging and community.
