    Volunteer Grant Coordinator (Remote)

    About Faith in God Charity Missions (FIGCM)

    Faith in God Charity Missions (FIGCM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring dignity and creating sustainable opportunities for widows, orphans, and vulnerable families. Through programs in food security, livelihood assistance, educational support, and community outreach, FIGCM works to deliver both immediate relief and long-term transformation.

    With active programs in Cameroon and growing partnerships in the United States and beyond, FIGCM is strengthening its fundraising and grant development capacity to expand impact.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Volunteer Grant Coordinator to support our grant research, tracking, and application process.

    This role is critical in helping FIGCM identify funding opportunities, manage grant pipelines, and support the development of strong, competitive grant applications. The Grant Coordinator will work closely with the fundraising team to ensure structured, timely, and strategic grant submissions.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Grant Research & Identification
    • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and institutions
    • Maintain an updated list of potential funding sources aligned with FIGCM’s mission and programs
    • Evaluate opportunities using internal criteria (e.g., go/no-go framework)
    1. Grant Tracking & Pipeline Management
    • Maintain and update a centralized grant tracking system (e.g., Trello, spreadsheets, CRM)
    • Track deadlines, submission timelines, and application statuses
    • Ensure all grant activities are organized and documented
    1. Grant Application Support
    • Assist in preparing and organizing grant application materials
    • Coordinate required documents such as organizational profiles, program descriptions, and impact data
    • Support grant writing efforts (where applicable)
    1. Collaboration & Coordination
    • Work closely with the fundraising team and leadership to align grant opportunities with strategic priorities
    • Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary data and information for applications
    • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on grant activities
    1. Reporting & Documentation
    • Track submitted grants and outcomes (awarded, declined, pending)
    • Assist in preparing reports for internal tracking and donor communication
    • Maintain organized records of all grant-related documents

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Background or interest in nonprofit work, research, writing, or administration
    • Strong research and organizational skills
    • Good written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and remotely
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with grant research or writing
    • Familiarity with grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory, Grants.gov)
    • Experience using tracking tools (e.g., Trello, CRM systems)
    • Understanding of nonprofit funding processes
