Hospitality Supporter

This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid position.

The Lake Wales Arts Council is looking for dedicated hospitality volunteers with a passion for the arts to assist with greeting guests as they enter, offering and serving refreshments, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. These volunteers utilize excellent communication, customer service, and people skills to provide a positive experience at the Arts Center. Hospitality volunteers are one of the initial interactions with guests.

Expected attire is business professional. No protective equipment is required at this time, but this opportunity does involve face-to-face interaction. This opportunity does require the ability to travel utilizing stairs and to lift 50 lbs. Volunteers will be scheduled as needed primarily on Friday or Saturday between 3pm and 8pm. Scheduling may be discussed during the interview.

Receptionist

This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid position.

The Lake Wales Arts Council is seeking a friendly and welcoming person as a volunteer receptionist for their Arts Center. This volunteer will enhance every guest's experience in this creative environment, face-to-face and via phone, through a pleasant greeting and offering of information on the Arts Center and events. Other duties may include assisting in planning artist receptions, setting up and arranging artwork, helping caterers set up, supporting sales and transactions, and promoting events through various channels.

The ideal candidate has a warm and inviting personality, excellent communication skills, office software proficiency, and a great passion for the arts! Expected attire is business professional. No protective equipment is required at this time, but this opportunity does involve face-to-face interaction. This opportunity does require the ability to travel utilizing stairs. The desk is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3pm. Scheduling may be discussed during the interview.

Special Events Staff

This is a volunteer opportunity, not a paid position.

The Lake Wales Arts Council (LWAC) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with events for the Arts Center. Volunteers will be needed for setup and breakdown, logistical support for concerts, attendee assistance, traffic control and parking management, promotion and marketing, and artist/vendor support. The LWAC is looking for team players with a passion for helping everyone have a positive experience with the arts.

This opportunity does involve lifting and moving tables and chairs. Expected attire is casual business. No protective equipment is required at this time, but this opportunity does involve face-to-face interaction. This opportunity does require the ability to travel utilizing stairs. Volunteers will be scheduled as needed primarily on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between 10am and 8pm. Scheduling may be discussed during the interview.
