DSACO iCan Bike Camp

DSACO, in collaboration with iCan Shine, is thrilled to present this unique opportunity for people with disabilities to gain independence in riding a two-wheeled bike. The iCan Bike staff is committed to providing highly-trained instructors who will work closely with each camper to ensure they are riding a bike suited to their size, strength, and abilities, while also ensuring that volunteers provide proper assistance throughout the process. Lunch is provided in the afternoon.

DSACO relies on the support of amazing volunteers to make iCan Bike Camp a success! Volunteers are paired with a camper for the week and serve as their “spotter,” providing encouragement and support while running alongside the camper as they learn to ride independently.

Note: Due to a scheduling conflict, Sessions 1 and 2 will be held in the evening on Monday ONLY. See time differences in the schedules below.

• Volunteers must be 14+ by June 1, 2026.
• We recommend volunteers commit to all five days for at least one session whenever possible, as riders bond with their assigned volunteer(s) and rely on familiar support each day of camp. That said, we welcome any availability and are grateful for any time you can share with us.
• Volunteers should be able to provide physical and motivational support to their assigned camper.
