    Role Overview

    The Senior Director of Marketing serves as the senior marketing leader responsible for developing and executing Mentor A Promise's integrated marketing strategy across all communications channels, campaigns, and public engagement initiatives.

    Working closely with the Chief Communications & Engagement Officer, executive leadership, PromiseBrands, PromiseStudios, PromiseStack, and organizational partners, this role oversees marketing strategy, campaign execution, audience growth, performance analytics, and community engagement to strengthen MAP's visibility and long-term impact.

    The Senior Director leads cross-functional marketing initiatives that connect storytelling, communications, data, and strategy to inspire volunteerism, increase donations, strengthen partnerships, and expand public awareness.

    The ideal candidate is a strategic marketing leader with expertise in integrated marketing, digital communications, audience growth, campaign management, and nonprofit engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Marketing Strategy

    • Develop and execute MAP's enterprise marketing strategy
    • Align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities and communications objectives
    • Create annual marketing plans and audience growth strategies
    • Identify opportunities to expand public awareness and engagement
    • Strengthen MAP's marketing presence across all communication channels

    Integrated Marketing Campaigns

    • Lead organization-wide marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives
    • Oversee campaign planning, execution, and performance evaluation
    • Coordinate integrated campaigns across digital, social media, email, media, and community channels
    • Support fundraising, volunteer recruitment, advocacy, and public awareness campaigns
    • Ensure marketing initiatives remain mission-driven and audience-centered

    Audience Growth & Community Engagement

    • Develop strategies that increase awareness, volunteer engagement, donor participation, and community involvement
    • Strengthen relationships with supporters, partners, and stakeholders
    • Expand audience reach across multiple platforms
    • Improve engagement through data-informed marketing initiatives
    • Build long-term community relationships

    Marketing Performance & Analytics

    • Monitor campaign performance and audience engagement
    • Develop marketing dashboards and key performance indicators
    • Analyze campaign effectiveness and audience insights
    • Recommend data-driven improvements
    • Promote continuous optimization across all marketing initiatives

    Leadership & Organizational Collaboration

    • Provide leadership to marketing teams and department directors
    • Mentor marketing professionals and emerging leaders
    • Foster collaboration across communications, creative, technology, and program teams
    • Support innovation and continuous improvement
    • Align marketing priorities with organizational strategy

    Cross-Divisional Collaboration

    • Partner with PromiseBrands on brand strategy and brand identity
    • Collaborate with PromiseStudios on multimedia storytelling and content production
    • Work with PromiseStack on digital platforms and marketing technology
    • Support PromisePublic on advocacy campaigns and public awareness initiatives
    • Coordinate with PromiseMeasure on marketing performance and organizational impact metrics
