    Masks are no longer required for vaccinated volunteers, closed-toed shoes are required for cleaning and repair shifts, an up-to-date tetanus shot is recommended.

    Description

    ReClaim It is Cracked Pots' unique resale store dedicated to curbing waste. Everything in our shop is gleaned from the Metro Central Transfer Station. That's right, the dump! We sell these salvaged materials in an effort to educate the public about the enormity of the wastes stream and inspire reuse, repair, and reimagination in our community.

    We do have a wonderful team of volunteers who do everything from staffing the shop to cleaning newly rescued items, to yes, even going to the Metro Waste Transfer Station to glean treasures!

    A few of the activities we're seeking volunteers to help with are:

    • Cleaning newly gleaned items
    • Creating engaging in-shop displays
    • Gleaning items from the waste transfer station (Possible after 20 hours of in-shop volunteering, staff approval, one in-shop training, and one on-site training)
    • Making price tags and in-shop signage
    • Repairing found items

    We have flexible shifts doing a variety of tasks based on volunteer skills and interests.
