    About Abinchi International

    Abinchi International is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to nutrition education, sustainable farming and feeding initiatives, and sponsoring girls’ education. Our work bridges communities in Ghana and the United States, grounded in service, dignity, and long-term impact.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to help secure funding that sustains and expands Abinchi’s programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, and storytelling for impact, and who wants to use their skills to support meaningful, community-centered work.

    Responsibilities

    • Research grants, foundations, and funding opportunities aligned with Abinchi’s mission
    • Assist with writing and editing grant proposals, LOIs, and applications
    • Collaborate with leadership to gather program details, budgets, and impact data
    • Adapt narratives for different funders while maintaining Abinchi’s voice and values
    • Track grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
    • Support post-award reporting when applicable

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and research skills
    • Interest in nonprofit development, grants, or philanthropy
    • Ability to follow guidelines, deadlines, and instructions carefully
    • Organized and detail-oriented
    • Comfortable using Google Docs/Sheets
    • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit proposals is a plus (not required)
    • Respect for faith-aligned, culturally grounded, and ethical storytelling
    • Willingness to learn and collaborate
