Are you an experienced accountant looking to use your skills for a meaningful cause?

Our local nonprofit animal rescue is seeking a volunteer accountant to help provide financial oversight and stability as we continue saving and rehoming animals in need.

This is a high-impact, leadership-level volunteer role that directly supports lifesaving work.

What We Need

We are looking for someone with accounting experience who can commit approximately 5 hours per week to help with:

• Paying bills and monitoring cash flow
• Reviewing financial records and ensuring accuracy
• Overseeing and maintaining QuickBooks
• Assisting with basic financial planning and budgeting
• Supporting year-end reporting (minimal time requirement)
• Providing guidance on financial best practices

This is not a large or complex financial operation — but it is critical that it’s handled properly and consistently.

Who You Are

• Experienced accountant, bookkeeper, or financial professional
• Comfortable working in QuickBooks
• Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
• Passionate about animal welfare and community impact
• Interested in making a meaningful difference with your expertise

All of it directly impacts how many animals we can rescue, treat, and place into loving homes.

Your skills will give our organization the stability it needs to grow sustainably and save more lives.

Time Commitment

Approximately 5 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
