Over the Edge isn’t just a rappel—it’s an opportunity to show up for neighbors across Washtenaw County and support families working toward stability, strength, and opportunity. To secure your spot, participants fundraise for Friends In Deed
As A ROPES Volunteers You Will Be:
- Assisting OTE staff with rope systems and participant flow.
- Supporting safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Working closely with trained professionals on the rooftop and rappel lines

Directions
From Washtenaw Avenue (Heading East toward EMU):
- Drive East on Washtenaw Avenue toward Ypsilanti and Eastern Michigan University (EMU).
- Turn Left onto Oakwood Street (about 2.5 miles from the edge of Ann Arbor). Look for signs marking
- the EMU campus and OTE signs pointing the way.
- Continue Straight on Oakwood Street for about half a mile.
- Turn Right into the Student Center Pay Lot. YOU MUST USE A CREDIT CARD!
- Arrive at Hill Hall – part of the Towers complex (alongside Hoyt and Pittman Halls). It’s a tall
- residence hall, easy to spot.
