Amedisys Compassionate Care Hospice is looking for artist volunteers for special projects for our patients. Any talent is welcome! Do you paint or draw? Sing or play the piano? Write poetry? Enjoy photography? Knit, crochet or sew? Are you an actor? All of these special talents can be put to work making life better for our hospice patients on their end-of-life journey.

We have remote and in person roles, weekly or as needed roles. We like to do special projects for 100th birthdays, for veteran and nurse pining ceremonies. Handmade birthday cards are a huge hit. If you are musical and would like to sing or play for our patients in person or maybe record yourself so we can play it for them. If you are and actor and could read poetry or tell stories either in person or on video. If you so we can use help with memory bears or memory pillows, lap quilts, cover ups for eating and small pillows for our memory care patients. Lap quilts, shawls you name it we probably have a patient who would be delighted that you shared your gifts with them. Maybe you have a talent I haven't thought of yet!

Please reach out and we can work together to chase away the dark for our patients for at least a little while. You will find the process of becoming a volunteer easy and the volunteering really rewarding.
