Share your compassionate heart with patients on their end of life journey!
We are the only not-for-profit hospice in Lake Havasu City!
Companionship volunteers sit with patients to support socialization in their own homes or assisted living facilities. These volunteers may read to patients, sit and have a friendly chat, or maybe walk a dog for someone who's no longer able. Respite volunteers sit with patients while their caregivers run errands or just take a well-needed break. No special skills are required for these visits, just be a good listener, and have a genuine desire to help others.
You may visit one or more patients on a regularly scheduled basis or choose to be "on-call" for occasional requests, "as needed." If you have a heart for others, please consider volunteering with us.
We also have a "Veteran to "Veteran" program as well as "We Honor Veterans", so we are also seeking veterans whom are interested in honoring and/or visiting with other veterans.❤
We have online training for these positions to familiarize our volunteers with the hospice philosophy. We do TB and drug testing in our main office.
Hospice of Havasu is the only not-for-profit hospice in Lake Havasu, serving the community since 1982! If you’re compassionate and have a heart for serving please call or email me about volunteering. Visiting hospice patients and adding a little joy to their last months of life is a rewarding experience. Snowbirds are welcome!!
