    Description

    Charity Shop Volunteer

    In this role, you will be part of a team who are supporting the running of a Guide Dog’s charity shop.

    We rely on volunteers like you to help us improve the lives of people with sight loss. In this role your support will include:

    • Greeting and serving customers, making them feel welcomed when they visit.
    • Organising and displaying stock for sale, recycling items that are not usable for sale.
    • Assisting with pricing items and operating the till for transactions.
    • Supporting in ensuring the shop remains well organised, clean, and tidy.
    • Supporting with the promotion of the shop.

    Ideally you will:

    • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Enjoy socialising with others and working as part of a team.

    HOURS OF OPENING

    • Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT

    • If travelling by train, Leamington Spa is the nearest station.
    • Distance is 1.5 miles to the Centre.
    • There is currently no direct bus route to the Centre, but the X17 travels down Warwick New Road and there is a bus stop within two minutes’ walk from the Centre.

    PARKING

    • Parking is available on site.
    • If travelling by car, there are two entrances to the site from Warwick New Road.
    • Visitors’ spaces are available at the front of the building.
