    Description

Circle of Care Hospice Volunteers spend 1 - 1.5 hours a week calling multiple local hospice patients and their family caregivers. The phone calls are a simple mid-week check in to offer support. If the patient has needs, volunteer then reports this to the local AccentCare office. These calls are an additional way to offer support.

Initially, Circle of Care Volunteers complete approximately 3 hours of online/virtual training to prepare for this volunteer assignment. A local AccentCare Volunteer Service Coordinator is available to assist and support the volunteer on an on-going basis.
