    Description

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) rescuing at-risk cats and supporting community cats across DC, MD, and VA.

Join our fundraising team to help us thank and keep the supporters who make rescue possible! By volunteering with TCAR, you’ll help shape how our work gets done, with real room to try ideas and make them yours.

    Projects you might work on:

    • Writing donor thank-you notes and updates
    • Keeping donor records accurate
    • Supporting donation drives and recurring-donor programs
    • Researching potential donors and partners

You might be a great fit if you…

    • Enjoy writing
    • Like tidy data
    • Care about animals
    • Are self-motivated and comfortable figuring things out as you go, and ask for help when you need it

Fundraising experience is a plus, not a requirement.

    What you'll get

    • Hands-on experience in donor stewardship, acknowledgments, and retention
    • Exposure to how a small nonprofit's fundraising cycle works from end to end
    • Writing samples for a real audience
    • A supportive, collaborative volunteer team
    • Flexible, remote-friendly scheduling
    • A chance to see direct impact
    • A growth path– volunteers who want more responsibility can step into a team-lead role

Commitment: About 5-10 hours a week, flexible, remote.
